our friends bill and christine stopped to
see us in molalla for the night on their drive
back to california...they became our very first (and last)
visitors to camp out in our front yard...
(cause we're MOVING!!! details to come!)
it was so fun to see them and catch up!

4th of july

we started jackson's very first 4th of july
off right by checking out the "giant parade" in downtown molalla...
the streets were lined with people and
there were tons of horses, some floats and even
the rodeo queen was there! talk about star-studded!!!

after the parade we were roasting hot so
we tried to find a shady, uncrowded spot along the
river to take a quick dip (ya...right!)
we then went on to plan b---
acquire a kiddie pool and somehow
get it back to the farm...mission accomplished!!!!
we threw the thing on the roof and held on for dear life.
back at the farm, EVERYONE went swimming-
including jackson and mister...

rodeo-the movie

molalla buckaroo

thad scored us FREE tickets to the opening
round of the 86th annual molalla buckaroo rodeo!
this was a first for jackson and i, and we all had a great time.
stayed for the entire rodeo, ate fair food,
did some awesome people watching, and even saw the fireworks-
the highlight was of course the bull riding- yeehaw!
i think we're really starting to fit in around here!

of the molalla river will do! nice and shady and
a good 10 degrees cooler than the farm.

there's been a serious heat wave going on here...
to beat the heat we headed down to the park
and spent the afternoon playing badminton, drinking
frosty beverages and having a bbq, while jackson
did some outdoor exersaucering in the shade.

summer is finally here! blue skies and hot days here on the farm.
this weekend our friend bill came to visit and we checked
out the molalla river- just a few minutes from our place.
