farewell dinner

we went to asia manoa for our last night in hawaii dinner.
nana made a guest appearance, and jackie decided
drinking sweet and sour sauce and
eating rice with the serving spoon was the right thing to do.
i will be dreaming of cake noodle until we visit again. yum!

happy halloween!

i sadly was on a plane bound for hong kong and missed
all the real halloween fun- but grammie lin was in town
and she and thad showed jackie how it's really done. after a bit
of a rocky start (someone didn't really love being dressed up),
a lollypop turned the whole night around and
after that jackson was off and running....

children's museum

it was so nice having grammie lin come stay
with the boys while i was out of town.
we got to spend a few days together before
she had to go home- such a treat. we took jackson
to the children's museum, and he has officially
graduated from the boring baby area to
the real museum. much more exciting and fun.
his fave was the grocery store- he loved pushing
that cart and loading it up. so funny!

we had quite an entourage at the zoo this trip!
we met up with the chun family who were visiting from utah.
it was so great to catch up with spencer and meet his adorable fam!
uncle spence even treated us all to a ride on the zoo train.
good fun.

jackson got a family membership to the oregon
zoo for his birthday from nana and cap'n!
we had a great sunny (but chilly) afternoon there
checking out the animals and seeing the sights.
we can't wait to go back- thanks nana & cap'n!!!!
