ziggy's bend shower

amy and corey threw ziggy and i a baby shower this weekend.
i must say the highlight was amy's triple layer,
homemade red velvet cake!!!?
YUM!!!!!! my fave!!!!!
we decorated onesies (i love crafts!!!), ate lots
of delicious food and of course received some amazing gifts.
i think we are pretty much as READY as we can be here
for ziggy's arrival!!!!

cutest thing that happened all day...

so, i was in the office and i heard a little commotion
coming from ziggy's room...
i went in to find mitty all nestled in ziggy's super cool
new bouncy chair from fonse's parents, val & jer!!!!
i turned the vibrating feature on for him- he didn't like
it...but i think he's found his new spot. CUTENESS!!!!!
(*i SWEAR i didn't put him in there...even CUTER, right?!!!)

it was SUCH a nice day today....65 and sunny!!!???
not too bad for mid november in bend!
we spent the afternoon @ tumalo state park-
we'd never been, and it's just a few miles out of town.
thad fly fished, mitty explored and i caught up on
some reading in the sun.

happy 1st anniversary to us!!!!

wow. what a difference a year makes, right?!
last year at this time we were VERY newly hitched, getting
our party on at the royal hawaiian with 250 of our
closest friends and family members.
wondering what the future held in store for us...
fast forward 365 days, and i can say it has been a
fabulous 1st year as mr and mrs laird.
we've made it through many a home improvement
project, sharing a home office, lots of traveling,
not to mention 9 months of pregnancy...
what CAN'T we get through, right?!
i am excited for our next big challenge/collaboration...

the weather has been awesome here
in bend for the last few weeks-
sadly, the end of the perfect, crisp fall weather seems
to be in sight. we went on a little walk in drake park
this weekend, checked out the fall leaves,
the ducks and enjoyed what might be
the last few dry days in quite awhile...

it was a very mellow halloween here at the laird abode...
we decided to just stay home, pass out candy and
watch a scary movie. we had heard from the neighbors that
the kids come by the mini-van load...so we got TONS of
candy. we did get some trick or treaters- maybe 20? but
we still have this massive bowl of candy...and a whole plate
of cupcakes?! yikes...don't leave the pregnant lady unattended...
