ribbon cutting party

last nite we had the grand unveiling of all thad's hard work on the master bedroom and bathroom. he's been working non-stop for the last 5 weeks and all his work is seriously impressive. he painted the bedroom and bathroom, put in new trim, a new light fixture in the bedroom, new carpet, tiled the bathroom counter, put in new linoleum, a new toilet, new fixtures...is there anything this guy can't do?!! we had the gang over to celebrate his efforts- and no ribbon cutting ceremony would be complete without an actual ribbon to cut, champagne, lots of beer and mini cupcakes.

i love target

it's been quite awhile since i've been excited about one of the
"designer" collections at target (luella maybe?)- BUT, i cannot WAIT for
the new jovovich-hawk collection to come out on march 2!
from the previews i've seen in magazines/online it looks
like it's going to be SO cute. i can't wait.

hells belles

saturday nite we went to the winterfest downtown to
sample some local beer, check out the
rail jam finals and see hells belles- an all girl ac/dc cover band
that everyone had been raving about for weeks...
hells belles did not disappoint and had us dancing
around in the snowy/mucky slush shouting "oy! oy!"
thad's quote: "that was the best cover band i've seen in 15 years!!!"
(my husband...quite the cover band connoiseur? who knew!)
