pumpkin patch!

we lucked out and picked the perfect sunny day
to visit the local pumpkin patch. after getting lots of
recommendations, we checked out lake view farms-
a few miles from our house. the patch was
right on a lake and there were train rides, boat rides, pony rides
(saving all that fun for next year)
and pumpkins as far as the eye could see...
we had a good ol' time tromping around searching for
the best pumpkins to bring home with us.
a great 1st trip to the patch for all!

road trip

we drove out toward the coast and took cap'n on a
fun hike near elk creek. we decided to drive home
the long way, up the 101 to cannon beach.
fall is in full swing here, with lots of pretty leaves
along the drive. we are really trying to make the
most of these last sunny (dry) days while they're here...
almost time to bust out the rain boots and get
ready for our first fall in "the valley"!
